On August 17, we celebrated Children’s Day in Villa Mar, Ancón, together with more than 50 children from the Pequeños Héroes Bible School.

The theme of our celebration was “Adventure Without Fear.” To make this day an unforgettable experience, we invited a mobile exotic animal farm, where the children had the opportunity to discover and get close to unusual animals such as a gecko, a bearded dragon, a tarantula, and a snake, among others. We also had a special time of singing, sharing, and reflecting on our fears, learning that with God, we can face them with confidence and courage.

One of the most exciting moments was when each child was able to adopt a stuffed animal. These stuffed animals had been donated second-hand, but they were carefully washed, prepared, and made to look like new so that each child could receive a special gift.

We closed the celebration with a Bible message based on Psalm 91, reminding

the children that God protects us and is always with us, even when we are afraid.

We ended the celebration by sharing a special snack with everyone, enjoying a day filled with joy, discovery, and hope.

A Second Celebration in San Juan de Lurigancho

On August 30, we brought the celebration to a Residential Care Center (CAR) in San Juan de Lurigancho, where we spent time with more than 25 children.

This time, we invited Granjita Móvil Ternura, which brought chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducklings, sheep, goats, and a little pig. The children had the opportunity to get close to the animals, learn how to feed them, and discover the importance of treating animals with care and respect. They also took part in a small painting workshop, where they could express their creativity and enjoy a different kind of activity.

Two celebrations, two different places, and many children

who experienced an adventure filled with joy, love, and hope.
